In 2012, Tunde co-founded Jumia Nigeria, which became Africa’s first unicorn after its public listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 2019.

The platform revolutionized e-commerce in Nigeria by addressing the needs of a growing middle class and providing a marketplace for various products.

Tunde’s vision was to create an organized retail environment in Nigeria, akin to Amazon, which was largely absent at the time.

In 2013, recognizing the logistical challenges faced by businesses in Africa, Tunde co-founded Africa Courier Express (ACE).

This logistics company aimed to provide efficient delivery solutions for businesses and consumers across the continent, enabling SMEs to expand their markets without logistical constraints.

In 2016, Tunde co-founded Lidya, a fintech platform designed to provide quick access to credit for SMEs in Africa and Europe. Lidya leverages technology to offer financing solutions within 24 hours, helping businesses build their credit profiles.

Under Tunde’s leadership, Lidya has disbursed over $100 million in loans with a remarkable 99% repayment rate, significantly enhancing financial inclusion for underserved businesses.
