1. John Khaminwa – 88 years
John Khaminwa, born in 1936, is a prominent Kenyan lawyer with over 54 years of legal practice, making him the oldest practicing advocate in Kenya.
He has held various roles, including State Counsel and Deputy Registrar of the Judiciary, and co-founded Khaminwa and Khaminwa Advocates in 1974, focusing on constitutional law.
Khaminwa is known for his resilience, having navigated political turmoil during Idi Amin’s regime in Uganda and advocating for human rights amidst governmental pressures in Kenya.
2. Paul Muite – 79 years
Paul Muite, born on April 18, 1945, is a distinguished Kenyan lawyer and politician with over 51 years of legal practice.
He was admitted to the High Court in 1970 and became a Senior Counsel in 2003.
