Steven’s journey was far from conventional.

Initially, he aspired to study medicine at a public university in Uganda, a dream rooted in his passion for helping others.

But life took an unexpected turn when complications from a vision problem led to surgery, leaving him completely blind.

For three challenging years, Steven remained at home, his education on hold and his access to rehabilitation services limited.
