1. Egypt

Egypt ranks 8th globally in military aircraft, with a total of 1,080 military aircraft, according to the latest Global Firepower report.

This positions Egypt as the largest air force in the Middle East and North Africa region, surpassing Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

The Egyptian Air Force includes a diverse fleet comprising 245 interceptor fighters, 341 training aircraft, and 92 attack helicopters.

2. Algeria

Algeria’s military aircraft inventory totals 605, ranking 20th globally among 103 nations as of 2024.

This includes 125 fighters, 252 helicopters, and 60 transport aircraft.

The Algerian Air Force has a readiness rate of approximately 50% for half its fleet.

Algeria’s defense budget has significantly increased, reaching $21 billion in 2024, reflecting ongoing regional security concerns.

The National Air Force of Angola (FANA) has an inventory of approximately 297 aircraft, making it the 34th largest air force globally in 2024.
